2011 Mazda Minagi Concept

The Mazda Minagi concept car incorporates new technologies SkyActiv Mazda's new design language and Kodo, which indicates the way for the next generation of Mazda vehicles to come.

The Mazda Minagi concept makes its world debut at the Geneva Motor Show 2011 as the expression of new technologies SkyActiv Mazda's new design language and Kodo. It is the first model that has features that can be seen in the next generation of Mazda vehicles.

The Mazda Minagi is elegant expression of stored energy. In Japanese, his name evokes the image of an object that vibrates with energy and perfectly reflects the vehicle's speed, agility and character animation. To Minagi, Mazda designers looked at different aspects of cheetahs when hunting. The head of a cheetah is placed high, while the tips of long, powerful and flexible thin out your torso upright so you can change direction quickly at high speed.

Mazda designers set out to evoke the time when an animal contracts its muscles, ready to sprint and lash out at their prey. On the other hand, as a thrust can be in either direction, an idea that fits with the function of an agile SUV crossover, as nimbly darts through an expanding urban landscape.
